Print Server |
Your old computer, as a Print Server? Are you thinking of ditching that old computer? How about converting it into a Print Server? One of the most common things in networking today is Print Sharing. And one of the bottlenecks that comes with it is that the computer to which the printer(s) is attached has to be always on in order for other computers to be able to print. Another thing we see is that in the printer list of the computers there's 10 printers auto-shared, all of which are the same, due to everybody sharing with others the same printer. Usually the computer to which the printer is attached is the most important in the office and the one that carries most of the work load. Upgrading it, updating it, or maintaining it is a lot harder since everybody depends on its availability. Last but not least, having a dedicated Print Server not only solves these problems in your network but it constitutes a step toward building a File Server and a Network Backup in this same computer. Lets eliminate the bottleneck, call us and we'll get you going in the right direction. |
